ReGum™ Vet CONIC - 6 pieces/pack

A revolutionary treatment for advanced periodontal tissue repair

Proven to be significantly superior to standard open tissue repair in dogs with naturally occurring periodontitis.

Product Overview

ReGum™ Vet is a scaffold composed of cross-linked gelatin. Once reconstituted, it regains its elastic properties and is easily placed in the periodontal tissue. ReGum™ Vet fills and supports the tissue, enhancing the healing of receding gums, providing a framework for better tissue restoration than the standard of care. It is biodegradable, leaving behind recovered healthy tissue.

CellFoam™ is crafted from natural materials, ensuring it is both biocompatible and biodegradable. It is rich with natural cellular adhesion sites (RGD motifs), providing an optimal scaffold for promoting cell growth.

ReGum™ Vet is a ready-to-use, single piece of biodegradable 3D dry-foam which supports the growth of healthy tissue.

It comes in a conic shape for furcations or deep holes and a flat square shape to treat side pockets.

Why use ReGum™ Vet?

Periodontal disease can lead to loss of teeth. In dogs, the teeth are equivalent to the fingers of humans in their function. As such, teeth removal should be prevented since it significantly disables the pet. Additionally, unhealthy gums are an open door for bacteria and germs to enter the bloodstream in pets and humans. If untreated, periodontal disease can have severe health implications not only on the dog’s mouth but the entire body as a whole. Some of these health issues include eye disease, increased risk of organ damage, jaw fractures, oral cancer, oronasal fistulas, and tooth abscesses. Clinical studies also show a link between untreated periodontitis to cardio/kidney/liver disease.

How to use ReGum™ Vet in 4 Simple Steps:

  1. Soak ReGum™ Vet to reconstitute elasticity
  2. Trim ReGum™ Vet to fit surgical site
  3. Place ReGum™ Vet in the surgical site
  4. Close the surgical site

Testimonials

Dr. Ana Nemec, DVM, PhD, Dipl. AVDC, Dipl. EVDC, Assist. Prof., Primary investigator of the clinical study

"We optimized this innovative product to best serve our canine patients and colleague veterinarians. Also, with our clinical research team we later scientifically proved that the addition of the ReGum™ is superior to standard open periodontal therapy alone in periodontal tissue repair in dogs with naturally occurring periodontitis."

Dr. Jen Mathis, DVM, CVPP, CFV

"There was no way to elevate the bone line when the furcation is there. ReGum™ Vet is the first potential therapy to restore bone line. Many practices assume that having dental radiography will lead to saving more teeth, but often it results in discovering more disease and extracting more teeth. This is where ReGum™ Vet makes a difference – it enables us to preserve more teeth than we could before."
